New Delhi: An award presentation ceremony to recognize excellence in education was recently held at Hayat Regency in New Delhi.
Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom Akkalkuwa’s Executive Director Prof. Touheed Mujawar was honoured with the 2015 Leadership Award by Union Minister of State (HRD) Prof. Dr.Ram Shankar Katheria. Chairman of HRD Parliamentry Standing Committee Dr. Satya Narayan Jatya was also present during the award presentation ceremony.
Prof. Touheed Mujawar is a dynamic personality who is devoted to propagate the cause for social and economical development of the country.
During his acceptance speech Prof.Mujawar said, “it is a recognition for contributing in the field of improving the quality into technical education and for preparing our youngsters for the fast evolving competitive environment. I dedicate this award to famous educationist and former Vice Chancellor of Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband Maulana Ghulam Mohd Vastanvi, a great visionary who has established an educational hub in a tribal location like Akkalkuwa, in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra where more than 15,000 students are undergoing Islamic education and more than 6,000 students are into Medical, Engineering, Pharmacy and Primary, Secondary Education under one roof.”
Further expressing his gratitude, he said, “Jamia is an ccean and my employability is just a drop of water.I am inspired and motivated by the CEO Maulana Huzaifa Vastanvi for his excellence in administration and his decisions that have proved instrumental for quality education.”
Prof. Mujawar proudly stated that the Engineering and Polytechnic students are imparting their service in different corners of the world and the CEO Maulana Huzaifa Vastanvi has strengthen the organization by facilitating infrastructure and well equipped labs with modern technologies.
This award has brought Jamia in the first top few institutions in the country for imparting education with prophetic character especially for underprivileged sector. The streams like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer and E&TC, Automobile Engineering are in demand outside the state as well.
The students come from many states of the country every year for admission in Jamia. The hostel here has a capacity to host 20,000 students who reside within the vast, sprawling campus of Jamia itself.
