South Indian Organization named “Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath – TNTJ” has successfully organized a mega Blood donation campaign on Friday, 18th August 2017.
More than 140 volunteers participated in the blood donation campaign and donated 125 units of blood.
Mr. Salahudeen, TNTJ Secretary, Jeddah Region, said, “We arranged this big event and donated blood for Hajj pilgrims. The campaign started at about 2 PM and completed at 6 PM in the evening. Each donor underwent assessment tests for blood pressure, sugar, Hemoglobin count etc. before the donation. The checks also included diseases communicable by blood transfusion. So far TNTJ organization has conducted 15 campaigns in Jeddah hospitals.”
“Further, Jeddah TNTJ continues to be the number one organization for conducting these blood donations campaigns in the last 6 years. In recognition, hospital authorities have awarded more than 5 awards to TNTJ for praising their work,” Salahudeen said.
Dr. Imad – Chief of Blood Bank and Ali Hamad – Organiser, Blood Bank, arranged the blood donation campaign in King Fahd Hospital, Jeddah, and thanked the TNTJ organizers for organizing such a kind and noble work on regular basis.
The King Fahd Hospital authorities have announced earlier that blood collected during this camp will be utilized to help save the lives of Hajj pilgrims, who are coming from various parts the world to the Holy city of Mecca & Medina, in an emergency.
Mohamed Munaf, President , Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath-Jeddah Region, said, “We conduct these campaigns in accordance of noble Quran Chapter 5 verse 32, “Whoever saves a life will be as if he has saved entire mankind”. Surely, this will help in creating social harmony and razes hatred among us, he said.
Jeddah TNTJ is well known in hospital circles not only for conducting campaigns also for its frequent blood donations on urgent basis. TNTJ volunteers will transport the donors to the hospital and back, he added.
This is 16th such blood drive of this nature by TNTJ Jeddah Region.
The group continues to be the number one organization in blood donation in Tamil Nadu and most of the GCC countries. Tamil Nadu government has also presented a number of awards appreciating its social concern to serve humanity.
Also Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath the (TNTJ), Riyadh region, conducted 63rd Blood Donation Camp on 18th August in which 271 units blood was donated to King Fahd Medical City (KFMC) in Riyadh.
