New Delhi: P.K. Kunhalikutty, IUML National General Secretary and Member of Parliament, has urged the Congress and other Opposition parties to have a collective and united voice on the farmers’ issue. “All the Opposition parties should have a collective voice in support of the farmers’ march organized in Maharashtra under the banner of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS),” he said.
Kunhalikutty also said that the Opposition parties must formulate a collective and united strategy to defeat the growing communal forces in the country. Citizens of this country fear that the BJP and the RSS will use the Babri Masjid case to further divide the society and create communal tension ahead of the 2019 general elections. Opposition parties must sit together and discuss ways to collectively counter the communal politics of the BJP and RSS and to protect the secular ethos of our nation.
He also urged the Opposition parties to organize united agitation against PNB scam and other corruption under the NDA government.
Kunhalikutty has also conveyed these views to the Opposition party leaders present at the dinner hosted by UPA chairperson Smt Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath recently. Leaders of 19 Opposition parties were present at the meeting.
